Very compact

APATEQ’s very compact scrub water treatment system MarinePaq of standard model is available in various sizes up to 500 m 3/day for installations in ports.

Fulfill all regulations

The system removes free and emulsified hydrocarbons down to a level lower than 1 ppm and up to 99,99% of the suspended solids, thus exceeding also strictest International regulations. SO 2/CO 2 ratio, PAH limits, pH and turbidity parameters are fulfilled.

High safety and low operational costs

MarinePaq relies on a proprietary primary treatment followed by ultra filtration (UF). It excels by low operational costs as the system requires  a small amount of chemicals and has a low specific energy consumption. The membranes used have a long lifetime and can be replaced inexpensively and allow for long intervals between CIP (Clean In Place).
MarinePaq is constructed for a long life span and continuous operation by meeting the highest standard in a highly corrosive environment.

MarinePaq in port

For on-shore treatment, the scrub wash water is stored on board of the vessel until it is treated at a centralized on-shore port facility. The port system has typically a very small footprint and is designed in sizes to meet the needs.  The port unit is fully automated, remote-controllable including a management system for long life filter that run over several years before requiring an exchange. This system also does not require a full time on-site operator.

MarinePaq on board

For on board operation, the MarinePaq is delivered skid-mounted for an easy fit into the prevailing conditions. The unit is fully automated, remote-controllable including a management system for long life filter that run over several years before requiring an exchange. The system does not require a fulltime on-site operator.

The MarinePaq system consists of:

A buffer tank and a 3-stage system followed by:
1. Chemical pre-treatment (2 batch system), removes NOx SOx and heavy metals.
2. Main treatment by Ultrafiltration, removes soot, suspended solids and free and emulsified oil.
3. Post treatment with active carbon removes the COD to the needed low concentration for direct discharge to the sea or community waste water system.
MarinePaq is compact, easy to handle an maintain with remote access and control.
For North European use, to be installed in a temperate hall.
This is a standard system from Apateq, well proofed since 15 years. Standard sizes: 20/50/100/250 m 3 per day.
